For Me?!

Happy belated Valentine's to you! Last night my AMAZING husband made me a grand dinner.

Lamb chops, asparagus, and scalloped potatoes. HELLLLLLO!

And although yesterday started out to be a awful Valentines day (not due to Jacob), it ended very special (thanks to him). After a few phone calls of me bawling crying, I made it back to the office to some beautiful flowers, and a gift card to Waltons. Hope you all had a very special day as well!

Colbie, we will miss all your craziness and wonderful cuddling.

 

 

To Do's Update

To Dos:

1)Find a knob for bathroom, and install

2)Update the chandelier and find some blue candles for it (origional chandelier here)

3)Paint the office and guest bedroom

I believe i would call that a successful weekend!

Im still debating on weather or not i should paint it a bright color...thoughts?

And for the master bathroom knobs...

Thanks hubby! I actually sent him to Home Depot three times yesterday. Turns out the drawers need a longer screw than the cabinets. Who woulda thought?!

Hi-ho, Hi-ho, Its Off to Home Depot, We Go

So, after a long work week, and going to Lubbock for a career fair, I was looking forward to a very relaxing weekend. It seems like when i am the most tired, i get into the painting/crafting/lets get this knocked off  the todo list kinda mood. Last night I decided just to pick a color for my office (from the three we were down to here). I picked the aqua first. Put the whole can of sample paint on the wall....and it was gosh darn awful. So, I went with the green/asparagus. The whole can of sample paint is now on the wall. What do you think??

I think this is the color. Its fun, yet not too dark, and will look good with our wood trim. The picture really doesnt do the color any justice. Home Depot, here we come!

OH! And look what i picked up yesterday at Home Goods for $28. Cant wait to get it on the wall! Isnt it amazing?

Showered With Love

One of my best friends since 1st grade (yes, we became friends due to the fact that we both were wearing the same 101 Dalmatians shirt) is getting married next month, and i cannot be more excited for her. She has met her perfect match, and they will enjoy the next 50 years together, no doubt about it.

Yesterday, some lovely ladies and I put on a fun little Tea Party Shower for our bride to be. Yes, since the royal wedding i have been trying to bring hats back in over here in America. Plus, who doesn't miss the days of having a tea party in their room, right? Drinking water and cramming plastic cookies in your dolls mouths...ah the memories. And, although it was a tea party, it really ended up being more of a mimosa party, which it totally more fun, right?

The Love Month

Thanks to Pinterst, I am now sporting a fancy little barn wood sign over our master bed. I love it. Alot. It just brings the whole room together, while also make me want to give Jacob a hug when i see it. Plus, it literally cost me noda to make, and about 15 minutes. We had a fun little "craft party" with our lovey friends out in the garage -shout out to the Walkers-, so it was a very entertaining day!

Blue, Aqua, or Asparagus?

So we are down to three colors in my office. THREE. Is the blue to... baby? Is the aqua too aqua? And the asparagus, i love it, but now i think it will make the room too dark. Ah, what to do?!?
